Description

🄔 Enjoy a sumptuous fusion of flavors with these stir-fried noodles, where tender steak and succulent shrimp come together harmoniously.
🦐 Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, this dish is loaded with nutritious veggies and a delightful garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

– 225 g wide dried rice noodles

– 225 g thinly sliced steak

– 8 to 10 peeled, deveined shrimp

– 1.5 cups assorted chopped vegetables

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 0.5 cup chicken broth

– 3 tablespoons soy sauce

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

– 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger

– 1 teaspoon cornstarch

– Green onions

– Optional: chili crisps or crushed red pepper flakes

– 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine

– 1 teaspoon cornstarch for marinade

– 1 teaspoon soy sauce for marinade

Instructions

1-First Step: Prep Ingredients: Begin by preparing your rice noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside. Thinly slice the steak against the grain for tenderness. Peel, devein, and remove tails from the shrimp. Chop the assorted vegetables into similar bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.

2-Second Step: Marinate the Steak: Combine the steak slices with Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, and soy sauce in a bowl or resealable bag. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes. This step enhances flavor and tenderizes the meat.

3-Third Step: Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, ground ginger, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside, as this will create a rich and flavorful coating for the stir-fry.

4-Fourth Step: Cook the Steak: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottom wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak slices in a single layer and sear each side for about 1 minute until browned but still juicy. Remove and set aside.

5-Fifth Step: Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add the chopped vegetables and stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes, until they are tender but retain a crisp texture. This preserves their freshness and vibrant color.

6-Sixth Step: Cook Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables, cooking until they curl into a ā€œCā€ shape and become opaque, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Avoid overcooking to maintain a tender bite. Remove shrimp and vegetables temporarily if the pan gets crowded.

7-Seventh Step: Combine and Finish: Return the steak, vegetables, and shrimp to the pan. Add the cooked noodles, then pour the prepared sauce over the mixture. Toss and stir continuously for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats all ingredients evenly.

8-Final Step: Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, stir in green onions and, if desired, add chili crisps or crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Serve the steak shrimp stir-fried noodles hot, accompanied by your favorite side dishes.
