Homemade Pearsauce

Description

🍐 Enjoy the natural sweetness and comforting spices in this Easy Pear Sauce, perfect for quick homemade treats.
πŸ₯„ Versatile and simple to make, it can be enjoyed plain or as a delicious topping for pancakes, waffles, and toast.

Ingredients

– 8 to 10 pears (Bartlett variety), peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1/4 cup water

– 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1-Prepare your pears: Wash, peel, core, and chop 8 to 10 Bartlett pears into 1-inch pieces. This sets the base for your sauce.

2-Mix in a saucepan: Add the chopped pears, 1/4 cup water, 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

3-Boil and simmer: Heat on high until it boils, then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4-Blend or mash: Use an immersion blender for smooth pearsauce, or a masher for a chunkier version. Cool first if using a regular blender.

5-Store and serve: Pour into containers and chill in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

🍎 Use ripe pears for best natural sweetness and flavor.
πŸ”„ Adjust sauce texture to your preferenceβ€”smooth or chunky.
πŸ‹ Lemon juice helps prevent browning and keeps sauce fresh.
