Description
🍝 This Crock Pot Bowtie Casserole provides a quick and comforting meal with minimal prep and delicious hearty flavors.
🧀 Combining ground beef, pasta, and melted mozzarella cheese makes for a satisfying, homestyle dinner perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
– 1 lb (450g) ground beef
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp Italian seasoning
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1 jar (24-26 oz / 680-740g) pasta sauce
– 1 cup (240ml) water or beef broth
– 12 oz (340g) uncooked bowtie (farfalle) pasta
– 2 cups (224g) shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1-Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
2-Drain any excess fat to keep the dish light.
3-Once prepped, transfer the mixture to your slow cooker. Stir in 1 jar (24-26 oz) of pasta sauce, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1 cup (240ml) of water or beef broth. Add 12 oz (340g) of uncooked bowtie pasta and mix well for even distribution.
4-Cover and set the cooker to low for 3 to 4 hours.
5-About 10-15 minutes before done, sprinkle 2 cups (224g) of shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Let it melt under the lid for a gooey finish. Serve warm and enjoy the blend of tastes that make this meal special.
Notes
🥣 For richer flavor, substitute beef broth for water.
⏳ Avoid lifting the crock pot lid frequently during cooking to maintain heat consistency.
🧀 Add shredded cheese near the end to prevent it from becoming oily or stringy.
