Description

🧀 Enjoy the gooiness of melted cheese combined with savory layers of beef and ravioli in just 20 minutes prep time!
🍝 A perfect meal solution for busy nights, this dish is both comforting and delightful for the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 pound extra lean ground beef (substitute with ground turkey or pork if desired)
34 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cups marinara sauce (24 oz. jar)
20 ounces uncooked cheese ravioli (refrigerated or frozen)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Optional: pepperoni slices or other toppings like mushrooms, ham, or spinach for added flavor

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Position the rack in the top third of the oven.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the chopped onion for 4-5 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and minced garlic, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Remove excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
Stir in 2 cups of marinara sauce with the beef mixture and heat through.
Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer half the ravioli, half the beef mixture, and half of each cheese in the baking dish. Repeat the layers, finishing with cheese on top.
Optional: Add slices of pepperoni or other toppings between layers.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and broil for a few minutes until the cheese is bubbly and browned.

Notes

⏰ This recipe saves time by cooking ravioli directly in the oven without boiling.
❄️ Can be assembled ahead, frozen for up to three months, and thawed overnight before baking. Adjust baking time if using frozen ravioli.
