Description

🧀 A warm, melty cheese that turns any gathering into a sophisticated snack.

Ingredients

250500 g round brie or camembert trimmed of any outer packaging

2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup for drizzling (optional)

1 fresh thyme sprig for garnish (optional)

Sturdy crackers or crostini for serving

1 bunch of grapes for serving


Instructions

1-Pre-heat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).

2-Place the cheese in a shallow, oven-proof dish that is slightly larger than the wheel, or set it on a sheet of crumpled parchment-paper to make transfer easier.

3-Oven method: Bake for 15 20 min if using 250 g (8 oz) cheese, or 25 min if using 500 g (1 lb). The cheese is done when the centre feels very soft and a skewer inserted comes out with melted cheese.

4-Microwave alternative: Heat on high in 30-second bursts, turning the dish each time, until the cheese is melted (about 2 min total).

5-Remove the cheese carefully; if it sits on parchment, lift the paper and transfer the cheese to a serving platter.

6-Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and scatter the thyme sprig on top, if desired.

7-Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, and grapes. Provide small knives so guests can cut through the rind and scoop the warm cheese.

Notes

🧑‍🍳 Choose an affordable brie or camembert; premium brands are not necessary for great flavor.
📏 Use a shallow dish or crumpled parchment to contain overflow and make lifting the cheese easier.
