Spiral Cut Ham

Spiral Cut Ham: Perfect Oven-Baked Recipe

Description

🍖 Treat yourself to a mouthwatering spiral cut ham that’s juicy, tender, and perfectly oven-baked for any occasion! 🥰

🔥This recipe is simple to follow and delivers incredible flavor in every bite—you won’t want to miss out! 🍴

Ingredients

Spiral cut ham (8-12 pounds, pre-smoked, pre-cooked)
Brown sugar
Cloves
Cinnamon
Apple juice or pineapple juice
Aluminum foil
Maple syrup or honey (optional)
Mustard or soy sauce (optional)
Ginger or nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 275°F. Prepare a baking dish by lining it with aluminum foil to catch any drippings.
2. Mix your glaze ingredients. A classic combination includes brown sugar, mustard, and spices like cloves. Optionally, add apple juice or pineapple juice for a traditional flavor.
3. Remove the ham from its packaging and place it flat side down in the prepared baking dish. Score the surface of the ham with a knife in a crisscross pattern to help the glaze penetrate and allow the fat to render during cooking.
4. Cover the ham with heavy-duty aluminum foil, ensuring it’s tightly sealed to retain moisture. Place the ham in the preheated oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes per pound, until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F.
5. Once the ham’s internal temperature is 140°F, remove it from the oven. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F. Generously apply the prepared glaze over the entire surface of the ham.
6. Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the glaze is caramelized.
7. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring each slice remains moist and flavorful.
8. Slice and serve the ham along with your favorite side dishes, such as a green salad or roasted vegetables. Enjoy your perfectly oven-baked spiral cut ham!
