Ingredients

Chicken Breasts: 2 large, boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces.
Pasta: 12 oz of your favorite pasta, such as penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti.
Garlic: 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced.
Butter: 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, divided.
Heavy Cream: 1 ½ cups.
Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for garnish.
Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons.
Chicken Broth: ½ cup.
Salt and Pepper: To taste.
Red Pepper Flakes (optional): ½ teaspoon for heat.
Spinach (optional): 2 cups of fresh spinach.
Sun-Dried Tomatoes (optional): ½ cup, chopped.
Parsley or Basil (optional): Fresh herbs for garnishing.

Instructions

1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sauté in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, simmer for 2 minutes, then stir in heavy cream.
4. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens. Thin with pasta water if needed.
5. Return chicken to skillet, toss to coat with sauce. Add pasta, mix well.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan.

Notes

1. Master the perfect creamy garlic Parmesan sauce by keeping the heat at medium and stirring in the cheese gradually to avoid clumps.
2. Cook your pasta al dente and reserve some pasta water for adjusting the sauce’s consistency.
3. Add your favorite vegetables or protein variations like spinach, shrimp, or bacon for a personalized touch.
