Ingredients

Beef (freshly sliced deli roast beef or slow-cooked options like top round, eye of round, or chuck roast)
Provolone cheese (or alternatives like Swiss or Gruyere)
King’s Hawaiian Sweet Butter Rolls or brioche slider buns
Caramelized onions
Garlic butter (melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt)
Au Jus (made from an Au Jus packet with water or use beef consommé)
Optional toppings: creamy horseradish sauce
Optional toppings: sautéed mushrooms
Optional toppings: crispy fried onions

Instructions

1. Prepare the beef: Choose freshly sliced roast beef from the deli for convenience or slow-cook a roast, such as chuck or top round, with beef consommé, garlic, onion, and Worcestershire sauce for around 7.5 hours until tender.

2. Caramelize the onions: Thinly slice onions and cook them slowly in butter over low heat until golden brown. This process takes 30-45 minutes.

3. Slice the rolls: Split the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half while keeping the tops and bottoms intact.

4. Assemble the sliders: Begin layering the bottom halves of the rolls with a slice of provolone cheese, followed by the roast beef, caramelized onions, and another layer of cheese.

5. Replace the top halves: Place the top portions of the rolls back on to complete the assembly.

6. Prepare the garlic butter: Melt butter and mix it with minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Brush this over the tops of the sliders evenly.

7. Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.

8. Bake the sliders: Place the sliders in the baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese has melted.

9. Prepare the Au Jus: Mix the Au Jus packet with water or beef consommé and whisk until combined. Bring the mixture to a boil for a flavorful dipping sauce.

10. Serve and enjoy: Serve the sliders warm alongside the prepared Au Jus for dipping, and pair with sides like French fries or potato chips.

Notes

1. Master the art of caramelizing onions for a flavorful and sweet-savory topping on your sliders.
2. Experiment with different types of bread like brioche or pretzel buns to add unique textures and flavors.
3. Perfect your Au Jus by adding a splash of red wine or Worcestershire sauce for a deeper, richer taste.
