Ingredients

Jumbo lump crab meat
Mayonnaise
Egg
Old Bay seasoning
Worcestershire sauce
Lemon juice
Red bell pepper (optional)
Onion (optional)
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Breadcrumbs (optional)
Sherry (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a bowl, gently mix jumbo lump crab meat with mayonnaise, egg, Old Bay seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and optional diced red bell pepper and onion.
3. Be careful not to overmix to keep the crab meat intact.
4. Spoon the mixture into individual ramekins or cleaned crab shells.
5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, egg, and additional seasonings for the topping.
6. Spread the topping evenly over the crab mixture.
7. Optionally, sprinkle breadcrumbs or Parmesan cheese on top for added texture.
8. Place the ramekins or shells on a baking sheet.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
11. Serve warm with lemon wedges, crackers, or crusty bread.
12. Enjoy as an appetizer or main course, optionally using it as stuffing for seafood like shrimp or fish.

Notes

Keep the crab meat as intact as possible by gently folding the ingredients together to maintain its delicate texture.

For extra flavor, add a splash of sherry or a dash of Worcestershire sauce to complement the rich, creamy base.

Bake until the top is golden brown and slightly crispy, but avoid overcooking to keep the crab meat tender and juicy.
