Ingredients
1 can (about 12.4 ounces) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough, icing reserved
Canola or vegetable oil for frying, about 6 cups
Optional toppings: powdered sugar glaze or dusting
Instructions
1. Remove the cinnamon roll dough from the can and place on a cutting board.
2. Use a small round cookie cutter to cut out the centers and create donut shapes. Save the centers for donut holes.
3. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan until it reaches 350β360Β°F.
4. Fry donuts and holes in batches, 4β5 minutes per side for donuts, 1β2 minutes for holes, until golden brown.
5. Remove to a wire rack or paper towels to drain.
6. Heat reserved icing until pourable or make a glaze. Dip or drizzle over cooled donuts.
